Two days in a row Woohoo!

So I went to my nieces house and we took pictures in the orchard in her backyard. Here are just a few from that day. This is why I love being a mom. Check out that smile seriously that is the best look a parent can see on their childs face. It's pure joy! I just love it and it makes me forget about all the back talking and grumpiness and fighting. It seriously makes me think of what a beautiful sweet fun loving girl I have. But seriously this look is not for me, it's for the horse next to her. She just loves animals, it doesn't matter what type of animal it is she loves them.

This is my nieces little boy Corbin isn't he a cutie. We (Pete and I) have nicknamed him Goliathe as he is the cutest little chunk.

And of course we had to get some of Isaac and Corbin together. Corbin is 5 mths older than Isaac and he is already asserting himself and showing who is boss (hence the name Goliathe, you can just call Isaac David). One day Isaac will be big enough to defend himself. Fortunately Isaac got some kisses with all the man handleing.

So we have decided to give Isaac cereal. He doesn't seem to get enough to eat lately and I am hoping that cereal will help fill him up and get him to sleep through the night. It's a two person job, someone has to hold his hands while the other person feeds him the cereal. And of course atleast half of it is all over him, good thing I took his clothes off. He sure does like the cereal, though I haven't noticed if it is helping him sleep through the night yet.

Update

I know I haven't posted much recently. It's been a difficult time the past few weeks and we are trying to get things back to normal. I had a friend from church ask me if I would take a picture of her son for his Court of Honor for scouts and so I pulled out my background stand and tried out my seamless paper in bone. Of course my ginnie pigs are my cute (yes I'm biased) family. I really like the way this picture turned out though it's weird since I am used to shooting on black backgrounds and doing black and white. And the picture for the Court of Honor turned out really good too.

I have found that having two small children sure makes it tough to find the time to play in photoshop. And I am glad to have some time tonight. I thought I would update everyone on what's happening with us. As you all know Pete got into grad school at Seattle Pacific University. School starts in Sept and we will likly move in August. It all depends on housing which we won't be able to apply for until June. Seattle it more expensive to live than Utah so we are trying to find ways to cut costs. We have decided to move in with Pete's parents to save some money. We will be there approximately two months before we head off to Seattle. The nice thing is they will be able to get their fill of Gabby and Isaac before we move. Woohoo!!! And hopefully it won't be so hard on them when we go (who am I kidding Monga will be devastated, and Papa too). We are putting everything in storage and going with only the bare necessities; princess barbies, stuffed animals, and of course the princess movies. Oh well we will should probably take clothes too. We will keep you all updated as more news comes up and I will try to post more often. I have some really cute pictures I can't wait to share.

This has been a very long weekend for us but it definately has brought our family closer together. We all are doing well and greatful that Grandma got to leave in the way in which she did. Thank you for your thoughts and prayers.

Grandma

I have debated as to whether I should share this information on here or not but here it is 3:30 in the morning and I can not sleep. Maybe it will help if I share how heavy my heart is at this time.

Yesterday I was reminded how fast life can change on us. One minute you are going through your regular daily routine and the next tragedy stikes. Sometime thursday night or friday morning Pete's grandmother had a brain bleed and slipped into a coma. Pete went to check on her after school yesterday and found that she had not been out to get the paper which is something she does everyday. When he tried to get in the house it was still barred which meant grandma hadn't been up yet. He knew something was wrong as it was about 12:30 or 1:00 when he showed up. He had to break into her house and he found her still in bed unresponsive. He called 911 and she was rushed to the hospital. I was fortunate to have a very dear church memeber show up at my house at the same time I was on the phone with Pete and she took my children for me so that I could go with Pete to the hospital. (Thank you Peggy for being there when I needed you.) The bleed likely happened while Grandma was a sleep. At her age and given her medical history and the location of the bleed surgery really just was not an option. The bleed is located inside her brain near her brain stem and likely occured because she was on cumidan (spell?) a blood thinner. The doctors said her blood got too thin which allowed it to bleed into her brain. As I type this Pete is sitting at the hospital with her so that she is not alone. Presently she is in a coma and breathing on her own and as the bleed continues those functions will slowly deteriate. They tell us it could be a matter of hours or days before she passes on and they will do all they can to insure that she is comfortable. We are hoping she makes it long enough for Pete's Dad and Uncle to make it here.

I know that we both had offered to help people and do things yesterday we were unable to get to and I hope that you will forgives us for not being there or full filling our obligations. Grandma is such an integral part to our life and I am having a hard time realizing that she is not with us any longer. I miss her dearly and don't yet feel ready to say goodbye. She wanted Gabby to take dance class and offered to pay for her to do so. I just got Gabby signed up on thursday and her first class is on Tuesday. I was going to bring grandma along so she could see her dance. I really wanted her to see her dance.

I haven't told Gabby yet what has happened. I have no idea how to tell a 3yr old she will never see her grandma great anymore. She wants to visit her on nearly a daily basis and it brings me to tears to realize I will have to tell her she can no longer see grandma. I understand death and that she would have wanted to go this way. I understand that it's natural and apart of life and sad yes but not the end. I just don't know how to help my three year old understand. She loves her grandma great as much as she loves her parents.

Please keep us in your thoughts and prayers as we go through this tragedy.

Baby B

Here is a baby annoucement I created for my most recent newborn shoot, she was such a doll to work with. I haven't been through all of the pictures yet but these were some of my favorites. Let me know if you like this R, I used different pictures than what you choose as I felt that these seemed to work so well together and really showed a different perspective of your little cutie. I blurred the info out for privacy purposes so don't think this is what the annoucement will look like. Let me know what you think. I just have to say I am really loving newborns. They are a lot of work and take a lot of time but it is so worth it. Thank you for letting me have this opportunity.

I also wanted to add that the card is curtesy of Kim Bear, you can see her work here http://kimbearphoto.wordpress.com/my-card-portfolio/. She is a very talented photographer and creates some beautiful cards.

NEWS!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ok I just have to put this on here. Most of you know that DH applied for Grad school at Seattle Pacific Univeristy. He flew out there on the 2nd and interviewed on the 3rd. We have been "patiently" waiting to hear whether he got in. Well today was the day we were supposed to hear and I will tell you it's been a rough day waiting. Pete finally called and said you need to leave the house so you will stop checking the email. So I went shopping with my niece to take my mind of things. While I was gone the letter came and we are in. I'm so excited. I literally just walked in the door and had to post this and share with everyone. We are moving to Seattle. I never in my wildest dreams thought I would live there. Crazy where life will take you.
