Sad face

I know it's been a while since I have posted. I just have been so busy. Instead of neglecting the house for photography I have been trying (unsuccessfully) to clean it. I got a new background and was playing around with it. Gabby was game but Isaac not so much. Isn't this the cutest sad face ever.

Gabby

So about a week ago I borrowed my friends background stand and background to do maternity pictures and I of course had to practice with Gabby. Here are just a few of those pictures. I am very happy with how they turned out. She is growing so fast and just beautiful. She is really getting to be so independent, sometimes it's great to watch and hear the things that she says. I say sometimes because on the other hand she can be a bit argumentative which drives me crazy. But it's normal right. Wednesday I took her ice skating and she loved it and suprisingly did pretty good. Well in the car on the way home she said "Mommy that was so fantastic!" I love all the big words she uses.

I'm Back!!!!!

So my computer crashed last week and we had to send it in yet again to have it fixed. We just got it back today and it's practically a brand new computer. They had to replace the mother board and the hard drive. Pete is seriously excited that we have a "new" computer. While the computer was in the shop I was able to get some new equipment. I got the tamron 17-50 2.8 and the 580ex II and I have been playing all week. So I have a bunch of pictures to show but I promised I would get these ones up first.

I did a newborn shoot with the cutest little girl today. She is 8 days old. I was supposed to do a maternity shoot with her mother but this little cutie didn't want to wait for that and she came early. She was not a happy camper and wasn't interested in getting her picture taken but we got some cute ones anyway. Hope you guys like your little preview.

Future Photographer

Ok so for some reason Blogger is being weird on me and I can't get my pictures to post in the order I want them to. So sorry about that. This one is just cause Isaac is too cute. Don't you just love that smile and those eyes. So I keep thinking he is getting bigger and chunkier and my favorite song to sing to him is "I like'm chunky, I like'm thick, I like'm round, I like'm plumpy" (imagine Moto Moto from Madigascar2 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wqAbAjzJ9tI&feature=related) and he totally loves it. Smiles super big like this. Ok back to getting chunky, I saw my niece yesturday and her baby is 5 months older than Isaac and he is seriously the chunkiest baby I have ever seen and he is as cute as can be. Love him. So it makes me feel better to see Corbin as I can feel like Isaac is still little and not so Chunky even though he is feeling out. I don't want him to grow but just be my cute snuggly newborn. Next time Lacy comes over I will have to get a picture of Isaac and Corbin together or I like to call them David and Goliathe.



Ok I took this one cause I got the cutest leg warmers for Isaac and I had to take a picture to show everyone. No this picture isn't super great but it's all about the leg warmers and yes it is ok for baby boys to wear leg warmers especially when he starts crawling. I should have saved this picture for St. Patrick's day. Oh well I will take more.



So here is the picture I really wanted to talk about. Pete informed that he needed to have a headshot for his applications for gradschool. Well oh course I couldn't let him use a picture we all ready had so we did a mini photoshoot. I have never done headshots before and considering this my first time I think I did pretty good. Though you can disagree if you want to. Well in the midst of taking these pictures Gabby wanted to have the camera to take some pictures herself. So Peter got her one of his old old cameras and put it on my tripod so she could snap away.



Here is the result of a loving father deciding to give to his daughter. She was so funny the way she got right infront of Isaac and started snapping away. I didn't get any pictures of this but she later turned the camera on Pete and started directing him as to what to do so she could take his picture. I really wish I would have recorded it on our flip video so you could see. Seriously she is going to be a photographer one day. "I can feel it in my nuggets" (Surf's Up reference). Don't you just love the eye contact Isaac has with her. I'm telling you he loves the camera (atleast until I ruin him from all mini practice photoshoots).

3 months old

My baby is 3 months old today and it's killing me. With Gabby I couldn't wait for her to grow up and see who she was going to be. But with Isaac he's such a wonderful baby that I want him to take his time. I just want to take in all that I can of him as they change so fast. He is such a happy smiley baby now. I love the way you will see him sitting there looking bored and as soon as you look at him his whole face just lights up and he gets the biggest grin. He loves to have interaction and always wants to sit with me which makes it difficult to get anything done. But come on look at that face and those eyes. Can you resist them? I don't think so. I sure do love my little guy.

Photo Contest

I spend a lot of time on two peas in a bucket. I learned how to use my camera there and learned a lot more about photoshop there. I even created this blog to do Photo of the day (POTD) from two peas. I would say that most of my inspiration comes from the people I have meet there. Well one of our peas had a Pro or No Pro contest. I debated entering the contest because the images were so great and I never win anything but decided what the heck and entered. Here is the image I entered AND IT WON TWICE. They had three judges and then a board favorite. I was one of 3 winners with the judges and tied as the board favorite. How cool is that. I almost didn't enter and I almost didn't enter this picture as I thought people would know it was mine (I share alot of my children). I'm really excited about this as there was some amazing competition and I really didn't think I would win. The Peas are an amazingly talented group of people and I feel very honored to have won in this contest.

Love

So this weeks theme is love and I have been wanting to get pictures of Isaac and Gabby together. So today Gabby pulled out her enormous stuffed dog (so big he fits on the whole top of her bunk bed). I have wanted to get pictures of Isaac laying on it and I figured today was as good as any. I haven't had a chance to work on the ones of Isaac but here is what I have done. I truely love my kids, they make my life so much better and make me want to be a better mother for them. I think they just look so cute together and this is what I was able to capture of them. I have to mention that in order to get gabby to pose with Isaac I had to bribe her with chocolate.





This one is just Gabby being a goof ball. I love it.
