Isaac

I just had to share this picture. He just lights up the room with his smile and I love that his smile is so big you can see his teeth. So save this entry and anytime you need a smile look at it, I'm sure it will brighten your day. I also posted some Halloween pictures on my photography blog so don't forget to check it out.

Risky Business

I was getting Isaac undressed from church yesterday and saw cutest costume, what do you think. Personally I think he does it better than Tom Cruise =0). To bad it is too cold for him to actually wear it. I just love my cute little boy who isn't so little anymore. I'm still working on his real costume and will get pictures of it when I have it all together.

Monga and Isaac

So before we left Utah Monga (grandma) wanted to have a picture of her and Isaac similar to the one I took of her and Gabby when she was about the same age. I finally got around to editing these images. We are so lucky to have such wonderful grandparents for our kids. They love our children so much and vice versa. It was heartwrenching to move away from them, good thing for web cam as we talk to them that way at least once a week and Gabby has to call them nearly everyday. We had thought about changing our cell phone plan to a lower service but Gabby calls them too much.

Love you Monga!

Isaac is walking

It's crazy, he is my baby boy and he is to little to be walking. It's killing me, he still looks like a baby, in fact he looks like he did when he was born only chubbier and longer. I'm not ready for him to be a toddler yet.

We are here!

So it's official we are here (Seattle) and we are moved in. Well we aren't unpacked yet but we are in our home. So far I am loving it here, the people we have meet have been so nice and it's really beautiful here, not to mention the weather is great. We have the best neighbors and Gabby has already found her new best friend and we haven't even been here a week. The only issue I have is the roads are seriously insane, looks like we will learn how to use public transportation. Here are a few shots of where we live. This first picture is the campus. Seriously it is beautiful. That grassy area is a great place to take the kids to play.
Today we took an Argosy Cruise around the harbor and here is a picture of the city scape with Queen Anne just behind it. That's where we are. It takes like 5 minutes to get downtown but rediculously difficult to find parking hence the need to learn the public transit system.

This is another picture of Queen Anne, we are just on the right just on the other side of the hill somewhere.

Moving

I know I haven't posted in awhile. I have been crazy busy getting my photography blog up and going and since we are moving to Seattle I have been busy with lots of sessions. Isn't it funny how people wait til the last minute to get things done. (It's all good cause I'm a major procrastinator myself). So in one week from today we are leaving. I am excited and nervous all at the same time. I really look forward to this new adventure and Seattle sounds exciting, on the other hand Pete will be in grad school and gone all the time and I will be in a huge strange city all alone. good thing for the church right.

It's funny when I was younger I really disliked living in Utah and couldn't wait until I left and went somewhere exciting. Well I did, I lived in Florida for 3 years and California for almost 2 and came back to Utah because I missed it here so much. I thought I would never leave again. I am having a hard time imagining what our life will be like outside of Utah. We miss all our friends already and it is very hard to leave family (good thing I am busy everynight until we leave, I won't have much time to think about it.)

Keep following the blog and I will keep you up on what is happening with us. Sorry there are no pictures as my computer is down with a virus and currently out to be fixed. Unfortunately this means that I don't have photoshop to edit any of my gazillion pictures I have taken recently. Seriously I am addicted to my computer, I may need a 12 step program.

So the offical day of departure is the 25th. We will take 3 days to get there (we are making the trip a mini vacation, stopping early to let the kids go swimming in the hotel etc. etc.) And we will be moving into our new home on friday the 28th. I don't know how long it will take us to get internet (again I am addicted so I am sure we will be on top of that) so keep checking on us. Oh and one last thing, it's all good with me if you want to start planning your trips to Seattle.

My kids

My kids are so funny. They are happiest when we are sitting outside and they play really well together. However try as I might I can't for the life of me get a cute picture with Isaac and Gabby together. Isaac smiles and laughs to be next to her and she can't hardly take the time to stop, huge him, or sit next to him, and smile. Seriously makes me crazy. Ones of these days I will figure it out.

Isaac

So today Pete got a message from one of his professors at Weber State and they are unable to meet with him on the 11th to defend his final project for school. So now we are not going to be able to leave for Seattle next week like we thought. I have no concrete idea as to when we are going to go which is getting frustrating. We will keep you all updated, as for now we are here for at least 2 more weeks. So if you want to see us before we go there is still time to do so, just don't procrastinate it.

And here's my cute boy at Wheeler Farm. He is growing so big I just don't know what to do. He is 8 months old and is crawling every where and he is walking along furniture. He just adores Gabby and follows here where ever he can. He thinks he is bigger than he is (or wishes he were). I know I have said it before but I love his eyes and his smile, seeing his smile is infectous I love it.

Seattle update

I really wish that I could give you all an update on what our plans are for this month and when we are leaving for Seattle. First Pete tells me that we are leaving the last week of august. Then I get told we are leaving the weekend of the 15th. Now I am being told we are waiting for the last week of august. I have no idea when we are going. I'm sure that one day I will wake up and Pete will say pack your bags we're leaving tomorrow. I really just can't wait to get to Seattle and get settled into our new life. We have a house that we are going to be able to rent right on campus so that's great news for us. It's a 2 bedroom and I will have a washer and dryer (yeah me!), I'm hoping that I will have a dishwasher as my Pete2000 doeasn't work as well as I would like. Pete tells me I didn't keep up on the maintance and I told him I just want to upgrade it. Good thing we can laugh at eachother.

Well we went to wheeler farm the other day and I snapped some pictures of Gabby. She is really growing into a beautiful child. When Isaac stops crying at my feet I will get some up of him.

This is my cute niece, she is autistic and can be difficult to photograph. I was taking pictures and she jumped on my set up and said take my picture. I was able to snap this one shot before she ran away. I love the way it turned out and am glad that I was able to capture this shot.

They are having a give away for a Tamrom lens. I have the Tamron 17-50 and I absolutely love it. It's sharp and the color is beautiful. Click on the link above and you too can enter the contest if your interested. And if not check out there blog. They have lots of great information.

Oqurrh Mountain Temple

So on friday we took the kids to the Oqiurrh Mountain Temple open house. It was crazy busy (hint: never go on a friday, holiday weekend, or in the evening.) It took us 3 hours to go through the temple. Earlier that day I was at the gym and pulled a muscle in my calf doing step aerobics. I was in a lot of pain but we went anyway. So 3 hours of standing and walking (albiet slow walking being that we were in a line) but walking non the less. It was a long night but so worth it. There were so many people there that I wasn't able to get any full pictures of the temple but here are a few angles I was able to get without any people in it. This temple is beautiful, I want to go back when I can take pictures of it without people in the way. And I just have to add Gabby was a tropper. I am so greatful for the children that I have.

So the other day we were sitting in the front yard and I looked over at the trees and the light from the sun shining through the trees was breath taking. There was this amazing sun flare coming through the trees and I wanted to practice capturing sunflares. I just learned a new technique and wanted to see if I could accomplish it.

I asked Pete to get the camera for me. I had been to the zoo with the kids earlier and had my 28-105 sigma lens (I hate that lens) on the camera. I was having such a hard time getting anything decent. The focus is soft and the color is dull but it's my longest focal lenght. I just hate it and thought for sure that I hadn't got anything decent. I was going through my pictures and found this one and after pping this picture I just fell in love.

Not with the lens but with Pete. I know your all thinking, "what you fell in love umm ok." Don't you ever have those moments where your spouse does something or you see them and your heart starts to pound and you get giddy thinking "Oh yeah he's mine and I am so in love with him!" Well I had one of those moments today.

Last night Isaac woke up at 2:00 am to eat and I was so tired I couldn't get him to settle down and totally freaked out on Pete for sleeping while I was taking care of Isaac. I know terrible of him right he had the nerve to sleep, what a man. After I saw this picture I felt so guilty for being so crabby. I just want Pete to know how much I love him. He is the best husband ever and I am so excited for our new adventure together.

Isn't he the cutest butter ball ever! Pete and Gabby nicknamed him butter ball because of his lack of hair (such a nice shaped head he has) and his pale skin just like a butter ball.

Tubbers!!

I have wanted to take these pictures for such a long time but the bathroom in my old apt. was dingy and yucky so they never turned out the way I wanted them to. Now that we are Pete's parents I can take them. This first one I have wanted to take for a long time I just could never get it right. I love it and can't wait to print it and put it up in my bathroom when we get our new place.

Aren't they so cute together.
