On monday I went to a Utah Jazz game, I'm really not a big fan at all of basketball so I thought I would take my camera and see how I could do. Let me first off say that the only zoom lense I have is the 28-105mm sigma lens we were on the upper balcony about halfway to the top so I was really far away. Despite not liking the sport it was a lot of fun taking pictures. I wish that I were closer and had a good telephoto lens to shoot with but what do you think despite my limitations? All pics are sooc except for crop and sharpen and resized for web. Oh and I had to shoot at ISO 800 so I ran them through noiseware.

This is for Loren and Dana if you guys are looking. This is what the HDR plug-in does with a jpeg pic. It's pretty fun to play with. I know the picture isn't a great one but you can really see how it brings the sky to life. You should check it out here. http://www.mediachance.com/plugins/redynamix.html
Thanks for looking and all the feedback you guys give. I love it.

Textures
I just got Leah's textures and I love them. Here's a play with one of my photos. I gave it a vintage look and I think it looks great. I would definately recommend getting these if you haven't already. They are amazing so fun to play with.

Faith
Ok so this is going to be a bit of a stretch but here it goes. I have faith that if I keep working at it and practicing I will be able to take pictures like a pro. I have been working really hard and can see a difference from when I first started. I just need to study more and put to practice the tools that you all have taught me. I feel so inspired by everyone as I look at your blogs and just want to say thank you for sharing yourselves with me. Thanks for all the great comments yesturday.
I always liked these name storyboards so I have been searching and finally found the letters for my last name. What do ya think?
This storyboard was just for fun. We went to the duck pond and I wanted to put these picks together and try something new. I'm not sure I like it. But here it is anyway.

Bountiful Temple
So I went to go to my PS class tonight and stupid me didn't realize that last week was the last day (I didn't go cause I had a migraine). The cool thing was the Bountiful Temple was just up the street and I thought perfect I can take some pictures. This is an important place for me. This is where I got married 3 years ago. I made covenants here with the Lord that I would strive to live after the example He set and follow his guidence and teachings. I have faith in the covenants I made with my husband in this temple that our marriage will last through all eternity and that as I strive to be obedient to the commandments and follow the example the Savior set for me I will receive the blessings of exaltation. I come to the Temple often to renew my covenants with the Lord and recieve the strength I need to overcome my imperfections. The temple is a reminder to me of what kind of person I want/can be and helps me become that person. I have a long way to go but am greatful for the loving patience of the Savior.
ISO 100 F/4.5 SS 1/640 28-105mm lense
SOOC except for a little contrast added.
ISO 100 F/8.0 SS 1/125 28-105mm lens
And this one is just for fun. Thanks for all your wonderful compliments yesturday. It really means a lot to me to get feedback. And for any family members who are looking you can comment also and I promise I will respond.

Faith in the next generation
This is dd's great grandma, she broke her hip and had surgery. Here we are getting her settled into the rehab facility. I love this picture and how great it turned out. DD will cherish this picture her whole life. It makes me remember that we need to realize that our futures ly in the hands of the next generation and that we need to have faith in them to do what is right. And hope that we have taught and prepared them to take on that responsibility.
And for fun a few story boards that I have been working on. I have taken into consideration all your feedback and tried to apply that to what I have done. Thanks for looking and CC is welcome. Have a great day.

Just for fun
Not much to show today. Took this picture yesturday and I just loved it. We went out to lunch with my MIL or Uncle in law and there was construction going on next door. DD thought it was so neat they way this worked. She spent most of her time sitting on the table watching out the window. When we left she ran and sat at the edge of the sidwalk so she could watch it closer and she wouldn't get up. I thought it was so cute I had to grab my camera. I hope this doesn't mean she'll be interested in construction. Thanks for all the cc on yesturdays pics. I got a lot of feedback and will be working hard on figuring out metering and exposure.
